If you are cruising the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, CO and looking for a quick lunch or dinner then Zoe Ma Ma is a great option. It’s on the West End of Pearl (my favorite part of Boulder) and they serve Chinese Street Food and it is fresh and delicious. The owner’s mother provides all the recipes and does most of the cooking and she rocks! I love the Vegetarian which is fresh organic egg noodle with lots of fresh vegetables, tofu, and your choice of sauces. Rice and rice noodle available. I also love the Za Jiang Mian; Classic Northern Chinese noodle dish. Mama makes it with fresh organic egg noodle topped with savory ground pork sauce and julienne vegetables. Rice and rice noodle available. I had them with the egg noodles and they were so good and both are only $7.00! Love this place.
Korea House Is One Of Boulder’s Best Kept Secrets
I love Korean Food. Love it! And Boulder actually has an excellent Korean joint. It’s hidden in a little strip mall that is very easy to miss but if you like Korean food then find it and go to Korea House. This place is small and very modest but don’t be fooled. This mom and pop joint is so good and the owners are so nice. I always get the Bibimbap with the homemade kimchi. Heaven!
High West Distillery & Saloon Is More Than Great Drinks
I was in Park City for Sundance and some skiing and checked out High West Distillery and Saloon. What a great place. They make their own whiskey and vodka. But this place is more that good drinks. The food was excellent. I couldn’t get past the French Onion Soup because it was so darn good. I am a French Onion snob and it this is one of the best! The burgers are pretty excellent as well. And the Wedge Salad is tasty and hearty. Also a great vibe going on in this place right off of Main St. in the heart of Park City. Great place.
Tulie Bakery Is Straight Up Good
Tulie Bakery is in the Sugar House Neighborhood of Salt Lake City. One of my favorite neighborhoods and if you are in the area visit Tulie. The pastries are out of this world. They also have coffee and sandwiches and places to sit. I had the Chocolate Bouchon. I am not really sure what that is but it tasted like a moist, delicious brownie and looked like a cupcake. Great spot.
I Keep Finding Great Joints In Salt Lake. Eva Is Another
Downtown Salt Lake, in between Whiskey Street and Bodega, (two great spots) is Eva. A Mediterranean-inspired small-plates joint serving eclectic fare & cocktails in a cool, hip setting. I really do like the vibe in here. It’s small too, which is nice and the service was great. Now, not all the small plates we ordered were great but it was still well worth the trip. And the heirloom salad was fantastic.
A Fantastic Hole In The Wall In Salt Lake
I love hole in the wall joints. Love em! And Salt Lake has a great one; Curried Fried Chicken. It’s a fantastic Middle Eastern Joint cranking out real deal food at a cheap price. The Chicken Shwarma Wrap was fantastic and next time I will get the Curried Fried Chicken. It’s a short walk from downtown. Great spot.
Hungry Cat Is A Funky Little Spot Serving Up Killer Seafood
Santa Barbara has some great joints and one of them is Hungry Cat. Just off of State St. This chic spot is known for sustainable local fish & shellfish along with a raw seafood bar & unique cocktails. And they don’t disappoint. This place is small with a great bustling atmosphere and the craft cocktails rock and so do the Santa Barbara country Pinots. The oysters were super fresh but I am a sucker for a great burger so I went with the PUG BURGER with fried egg 19 with blue cheese, bacon, avocado. Just awesome. Love this place.
Savoy Cafe & Deli Is Healthy And Delicious
Whenever I visit my daughter in Santa Barbara we always go to Savoy Cafe & Deli. This place has been featured on Diners, Drive Ins & Dives and it is not a gut bomb. Great breakfasts, tasty salad bar and wonderful sandwiches. My daughter had the El Cap. Ciabatta, dijon mustard, Savoy greens, avocado, tomato, portabella mushroom, & extra virgin olive oil. Mmmmm! Love this place and it’s right in the heart of town.
Santa Barbara Has The Lark….Enough Said
The Lark is outstanding. It has it all going on. It’s located in the historic Santa Barbara Fish Market building. Situated in the heart of the Funk Zone, a vibrant arts district and home to local surf shops, galleries and the popular Urban Wine Trail. The atmosphere is phenomenal, service amazing and the food ridiculously good. The Marinated & Grilled Hanger Steak with charred broccoli, calabrian chile, crispy shallots and mint was so good we had to order another! Love this place.
Leo & Lily Is A Nice Little Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Spot In Woodland Hills.
If you are looking for a nice little joint in The Valley, hit up Leo & Lily in Woodland Hills. One could easily drive by this place on Ventura Blvd and not give it a second though but that would be a mistake. The breakfasts look great and I loved my lunch. I had Leo’s Club and it was quite tasty. Nothing fancy here but worth it if you are in the area.
