Never ever underestimate the importance of a delicious gut bomb. Sure you feel like crap afterwards but it’s oh so good going down and sometimes you just have to have it! When in the greater Salt Lake City area hit up Bruges Waffle and Fries. There are 4 in the area. I went to the one in Provo. The Belgian Fries rock but I could not pass up the Machine Gun Sandwich. It was featured on Man v. Food so it was a no brainer. Fresh Baguette stuffed with 2 lamb sausages, Belgian Frites and Andalouse Sauce. Out…Of…Control!
Chimayo Is Killer Southwestern In Park City
The little ski town of Park City, Utah has some great food and if you like Southwestern food then head to Chimayo. It’s right on main street. It’s cozy, has a fireplace in the middle of the joint, and delicious. I am a sucker for a good enchilada and this Duck Enchilada was great!
Airport Food Is Getting Better
If you are flying United at Denver International Airport and want tasty, healthy food, head to Etai’s Bakery & Cafe. They have been cranking out tasty bread to the Denver area for years but they are opening up cafes all over town and they are good. I am a fan of the Smothered Breakfast Burrito.
Frontera Torta Grill
Serious Burger in Manhattan’s East Village
The Brindle Room. If you are in Manhattan and want a series burger go here and get Sebastian’s Steakhouse Burger. Many think it’s the best in the country let alone the city. It’s pretty damn good. Cool little joint and all sorts of other stuff on the menu. Yummy salads, fish, chicken and killer Duck Confit Poutine. Man! So good. Love this place.
Prince Street Pizza Is Classic New York
Manhattan is filled with little by the slice pizza joints. There are practically on every corner. And they are good. Prince Street Pizza is one of them that does not disappoint so if you are in the Nolita Neighborhood of Manhattan (which is cool) then check it out. I like a slice of thin crust cheese but they are famous for the Pepperoni Square Extra Crispy.
Mercer Kitchen Is Swankville
In Manhattan there is SoHo. Land of the pretty people. I swear, it’s like everyone is a fashion model. Great people watching. And if you want to do it up hip then go to the Mercer Kitchen. Now I wouldn’t say the food is going to knock your socks off but it is good enough and the atmosphere is super cool. And when in doubt, get the Cheeseburger. Great night.
Mother’s Ruin Is A Dive Bar With Real Deal Food
I love Manhattan and my favorite neighborhood is Nolita. Cool little area between the Lower East Side and SoHo. On Spring Street is Mother’s Ruin. It’s pretty much a dive bar. Loud music, decent drinks, open late, cool people. And pretty good food. The French Onion Soup and Grilled Cheese worked for me!
Fantastic Local Joint In The Village
I love New York. So many great restaurants to check out. Recently I went to Hudson Clearwater in The Village. They serve New American Fare and Creative Cocktails. It is a small joint that is very quaint and filled with locals. They also have a great patio out back. The food was outstanding! Had the oysters, shrimp and grits and a delicious fish. I cannot say enough about this place. So good and fun.
Olio Pizzeria Is The Place To Go For Pizza In Santa Barbara
If you want to have good thin crust pizza in a casual, hip atmosphere then hit up Olio Pizzeria. It is one of three joints from the Olio Group. They have a great wine selection as well and I like the vibe in there. Just don’t let them seat you upstairs and you are good.
