Edge Restaurant and Bar is in the Four Seasons hotel in downtown Denver. What a fun spot. People are super stylish here and it is a fun social scene at the bar. Edge is a steakhouse and the food is delicious. Not cheap though. I had a filet mignon and the lobster mac ‘n cheese. Excellent.
Jax Fish House. Really Good.
Jax Fish House is located in Boulder’s West End. Arguably the coolest, hippest part of town. Owned by Dave Quarry, one of the most successful restauranteurs in Boulder. And I love this place. Great atmosphere, great service, great craft cocktails and outstanding food! I had the tuna. And the Oysters are great and a pretty darn good Lobster Roll. Fantastic! One of my favorite joints in town.
Serious Jewish Deli Food!
If you are in Houston and want a serious food experience then check out Kenny and Ziggy’s. This is a real deal New York Jewish Deli. The owner is from New York and does everything up right and fair warning that the portions are HUGE! And if you want to learn some Yiddish words check out the last pic. Awesome. I had the Hungarian Style Stuffed Cabbage. Also pictured is the Matzo Ball Soup, Potato Latke, Chocolate Eclair and a true Jewish Deli always has pickles on the table. Oh, and there is a full deli counter where you can get lot’s of good meats, lox and bagels to take home. Great place.
State Of Grace Is A Wonderful Spot
State of Grace is in the River Oaks District of Houston. Cool spot. And this place is serving up incredible seafood, meat and cocktails in a really cool environment. I loved this place and will go back for sure. The Shrimp Cocktail and Softshell Crab were delicious.
Boulder Needed Another Pizza Joint
I think most Boulderites would agree that we don’t live in a pizza town. Most of the pizza is average at best so Audrey Jane’s Pizza Garage has been a nice addition. Audrey has been cooking up pizza in San Francisco and has brought her passion to us. And I am pretty happy about that. It’s a casual, short order joint in North Boulder in a cool area and you can get yourself a big slice, arugula salad and a drink for cheap. And Audrey is using good ingredients. It’s thin crust and it’s not “knock your socks off this is amazing pizza” but it’s pretty damn good. I will be back.
Boulder Has A New Joint Downtown
PMG is in Boulder’s West End which is a great part of town. It’s a cozy & rustic hangout offering a big wine list & small menu of European-style eats. I really liked it and Boulder could use a new joint. This Crudo was delicious.
Clinton Street Baking Company in NYC
Hangin out in the Lower East Side in NYC eating some killer eggs bene at Clinton Street Baking Company. I substituted smoked salmon for the ham. Tasty! Throw a scratch made scone in there at you are good to go. And the Chicken and Waffles are serious real deal.
Jacob’s Pickles in NYC
What a fantastic restaurant on the Upper West Side. Jacob’s Pickles. Great vibe, great service and great food. High quality comfort food. Here we have Buffalo Mac & Cheese. And pickled beans, pickled carrots, pickled jalapeños and spicy pickles. A must go!
Cyclhops Mexican Bike Cantina. Quite The Name
Oscar Blues is a well respected micro brewery that started in Lyons, Colorado. They have since expanded to Asheville, NC. Now they have opened a bike shop/Mexcian food joint in Longmont,CO and it is tasty. The place has a good vibe and lots of delicious beers too. The tacos were great. Fun spot. Cyclhops Mexican Bike Cantina. Check it out.
Mei Mei Is So So Good
Boston is such great food town and now you can add Mei Mei to your list. It’s a must go. It’s a local joint that started out as a food truck serving Asian-American fusion. This is a short order place and all the food is scratch made using the freshest ingredients. I had the Double Awesome Scallion Pancakes; local greens pesto, cheddar, two oozy eggs; add pasture-raised cottage bacon, ham, or turkey. The Cranberry Sage Pork Dumplings;
3 handmade dumplings served with sriracha rice & house pickles. Stir Fried Greens;
smoked maple ginger sauce, garlic panko. Absolutely ridiculous. Love this place.
