Oh Man! The Refuge in Menlo Park and San Carlos is a killer Gastropub serving up tasty Belgian beers and sandwiches. And their Pastrami Sandwich is the real thing folks. Get it! This joint is casual and homey. Go!
Royal Rooster Is Just Plain Awesome
Royal Rooster is so good! It’s actually the same restaurant as Old Major but it has a different name for lunch. It is in the hip LoHi Neighborhood of Denver and the Kimchi Chicken Sandwich was ridiculous! A must go.
Snarf’s. It Hit’s The Spot
Snarf’s is a tasty sandwich shop. The original is in Boulder and now they are all over Colorado. Also in Chicago, St. Louis and Austin. Look, I have had better sandwiches but in a pinch these are pretty good.
Arcana Is A Nice Addition To Boulder
Boulder, Colorado’s West End is a very cool area. I love it. It has a lot of good restaurants but there is always room for one more. It’s latest addition is Arcana. This place is delicious and the atmosphere is super cool. I highly recommend this place. Of course I got the burger but their menu is full of excellent and fancier options. Give it a try.
Blackbelly Butcher Shop Is Dealing Out Killer Sandwiches
Blackbelly Market is the hot new restaurant in Boulder and for good reason. It is tasty and a fun place to go. I reviewed earlier in the year. Well right next door they opened Black Belly Butcher Shop. You can get all their incredible meats to take home and cook yourself. Even better, there is also breakfast and lunch counter service where you can get killer breakfast burritos and amazing lunch sandwiches. I love the Egg, Cheese and Tater Tot Burrito. And the House Made Bologna Sandwich on Jalapeno Cheddar Bread is amazing.
Centro In Boulder Is A Great Spot For Many Reasons
Centro Latin Kitchen & Refreshment Palace (Don’t you love that name!) is real deal Latin Food. I had the Fish Tacos which were excellent. So was the tuna and shrimp. And this place is so much more. They make great drinks, have a killer Happy Hour, their outdoor seating is a lot of fun and they are on the West End of the Pearl Street Mall. The coolest area of downtown. Great spot.
Thai Avenue Is One Of The Best Hole In The Walls Around
I love great food and I love a hole in the wall. When I have found both then it is a good day. Tucked in a food court on The Hill in Boulder Colorado is Thai Avenue. This is a family run operation and very authentic. I hear their curries are amazing but I get the Pad Kee-Mow (Drunken Noodle) every time because I love it so much.Thick rice noodles stir-fried with mixed vegetable. Check it out. You will not be disappointed.
Snarfburger Is A Shack With A Tasty Burger
The creators of Snarf,s which is a pretty tasty sandwich shop in Boulder, have opened Snarfburger in a shack in downtown Boulder. It’s a definite gut bomb but if you are in the mood the Double Cheeseburger is damn good. And they recently opened a second location in Chicago.
Check Out Cured
On the East side of Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall is the East End. Used to be not much but now it rivals the hip West End (which is on the other side of the mall). Cured is a wonderful gourmet grocery store & cafe with hand-picked cheese, charcuterie, & wine. Really incredible. I had the salami and cheese sandwich and it was fantastic. This hipster store shares it’s space with Boxcar Coffee which is pretty great as well and they even have a mini liquor store in the back with a tasty selection of beers and wine. It’s a fun one stop shop. They also recently just opened a second location on the West End.
This Middle Eastern Joint Is Truly Amazing
Sarma is in Sommerville, MA. Which is a hip area of Boston and near Cambridge too. The atmosphere is wonderful, casual and fun. And the food is full of flavor and absolutely delicious. This place is a must.
