Hey! If you are into french fries, like me, and you are in Boston then head to Saus. It’s in a fun part of the city and they have all kinds of sauces. I went with the classic Pountine. Fries with cheese curd and gravy. SO GOOD! They have a nice beer selection and some good sandwiches as well but I am all about the fries. Enjoy.
Mike’s Pastry Is Another North End Classic
The North End in Boston is known for their Italian food and you can’t forget the sweets. Make sure you head to Mike’s Pastry for one of their famous cannolis. They have a great variety. They are all huge and so good! And it is right across the street from a favorite dinner joint of mine, The Daily Catch.
The Daily Catch In Boston’s North End Is A Classic
If you are in Boston and you want Italian you head to the North End. It’s literally like walking into Italy. And there may be no better, once there, than The Daily Catch. This joint only holds 20 people. Open kitchen. Super casual. Killer Sicilian food. Chris took good care of me (pictured below) and he will take good care of you too! I told him I had never been and he took over from there. I went for lunch and had the Fried Calamari and Aglio Olio (black pasta and ground squid sautéed with garlic and olive oil). Crazy fresh. So good!
Oleana Is A Must If you Are Near Cambridge
Oleana is an Eastern Mediterranean (Mostly Turkish) restaurant on a quaint side street in Cambridge, MA. Love this place. It is so good! Food is outstanding and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Ana Sortun is the owner/chef and has made quite a name for herself. Also owns Sarma which I have not been to and Sofra which is a Turkish deli and is wonderful! Pictured below are the Spinach Falafelwith Tahini Sauce, Beet Yogurt and Cress; Lamb Tagine with Chickpeas, Harrisa Goat chess and Cilantro; and Baked Alaska. Yum!
I Love Myers + Chang
Whenever I am in Boston I always go to Myers + Chang. I just love this Asian joint. The food is so tasty and the atmosphere is chill. It is in the South End of Boston which is one of my favorite areas of the city. It has a great neighborhood feel with streets lines with red brick three story walkups. This place serves mostly small plates made for sharing. Pictured is the Hakkah Eggplant and Pork Banh Mi Sandwich. So So Good! Please go!!!
This Boston Suburb Has Good Sushi
If you are near Medfield and hungry I would high recommend heading to Takara. It’s easy to miss as it is tucked into a little strip mall. It is very very good! Whenever I am in town for business I head out to Medfield to have dinner with my friend and colleague, Amanda. It’s our go to place. Works for me!
Tacos Del Norte Is A Food Truck Worth Finding In Boulder
I learned about the Tacos Del Norte food truck while having a Happy Hour cocktail at The Bitter Bar which is a fun, swanky place to get a good craft cocktail in Boulder. They don’t have a kitchen but in the alley behind it Tacos Del Norte is there every evening from 6-12pm. Real deal Mexican Street Food. The Carnitas Taco was one of the best I have had and only $2.50! Great great find.
Bitter Bar Is The Place To Go In Boulder For Fancy Drinks
If you are in the mood for great craft cocktails in Boulder, head to The Bitter Bar. They have a great Happy Hour as well. I love a really good marg and only $5 during Happy Hour. This place has a great vibe too. Darkly lit. And here is the real kicker. In the alley behind the bar they have the same food truck come every night with the best tacos ever! Tacos Del Norte. This is Northern Mexican street food at it’s best. Truly incredible!
Avery Brewing In Boulder Is In It’s New Location & It Rocks
Avery Brewing Co. in Boulder just moved to it’s brand new facility and they have a great tasting room and restaurant. So much fun! Plus they have all these high up walk ways throughout the plant that you can go on and see the operations. Pretty cool. Go! I had the cheeseburger and it was very good. Our waiter, Danny, was great(Pictured below). Very knowledgable on the beers and Avery has a wide variety of great beer. He brought us a complimentary bread pudding, which was outstanding with a desert beer that was very strong and tasty. Great night.
Nopa Is My Kind Of Restaurant
Had a fantastic meal at Nopa in San Francisco. This is just one of those places that I love. Great food but not too fancy. Great atmosphere. Loud but not too loud, casual, nice lighting and an open kitchen. Best avocado toast I have ever had and the burger was killer. And to top it off they make excellent craft cocktails. Special place!
