Longs Peak Pub & Tap House. Longmont Colorado. I love this place. My Jalapeño Cheeseburger was incredible! This place is part of the Mountain Sun Group and they are serving up great burgers, healthy salads and delicious home brewed beer in a very friendly setting. Great place!
I love this place! Publik Coffee Roasters is so cool. It’s in an old industrial building that is bright and plenty of room to hook up your computer and spend some time. Or hang out with a good friend. I am not a coffee drinker but I hear it is good and the snacks are tasty. I am a sucker for avocado toast so if it is on the menu then I have to get it and it did not disappoint. Great place. Check it out.
Are you in Salt Lake City? Hungry? Don’t have a lot of time? Hit up Robin’s Nest. It’s downtown and tasty. I had the The Gouda Smoker. Roasted Turkey Breast, Bacon, Tomato, Lettuce, Melted Smoked Gouda and Robin’s Garlic/BBQ Spread on Ciabatta (Great w/Avocado!).
Always good to know a good farm to table joint in cities that are serving up tasty, healthy fare throughout the day. Caffe Niche in Salt Lake is one of those joints. It’s quaint, has outdoor seating, food is tasty and healthy. I went for lunch with some colleagues and had the Kobe Corned Beef Hash and the Crab Salad was delish too!
I love Asheville, NC and the food scene. It’s amazing and Limones is another great joint there. It’s downtown, the joint is small and quaint, killer Mexican food and tasty cocktails. Serious margaritas. A must go.
Asheville, NC has so many great places to eat and Chorizo is another one to add to the list. It’s a cool spot with sidewalk seating dishing up eclectic Pan-Latin fare. Everything is super fresh and tasty. The Cuban Sandwich was delish.
What makes an Italian Beef Real Deal? Gotta be made with Vienna Beef and the ones at Wrigley Field are. Gone are the days of crappy baseball food. These are delicious. Has the thinly sliced Vienna Beef with the delicious au ju, killed soft bread and sweet and hot peppers. Perfection! Throw in a Cubs baseball game and an Old Style and you have yourself a pretty good day.
The Parmesan Truffle Cream Fry at DMK Burger Bar. Chicago’s Near North Side. Mile from Wrigley Field. And if you go the day the Cubs are in the playoffs you might get to ride the DMK Trolley to the field with cute wait people photo bombing your kids and free Old Style. BOOM! Oh, and the burgers are fantastic and they have some tasty beers and cocktails. Great spot for the burger lover. This is high end stuff.
I love a good Jewish Deli. They are hard to find out in Colorado, where I live. But they are not hard to find where I grew up. On the North Shore of Chicago. I was back in my hometown of Highland park recently with my boys and we hit up Once Upon a Bagel for an excellent Lox & Bagel plate. Deeelish! And they have it all here. The pickles, huge sandwiches, Matzah Ball soup, the whole deal.
Every once in a blue moon there comes a joint that has it all going on. A place that is special. Work & Class, in the River North (Rhino) Neighborhood of Denver is one of these joints. I loved everything about. It’s in an up and coming new area of Denver that is young and energetic, the restaurant is small with great atmosphere and not fancy, the wait staff are nice and attentive, the cocktails, beer, wine are delicious and the food is outstanding. Oh, and it’s not expensive. All this is because Dana Rodriguez, who grew up on a farm in Chihuahua, Mexico is living her dream. She is one of the owners and head chef. She is amazing and everything about this joint starts from her. The menu is homestyle Southern & Latin American cuisine and everything is meant to be shared. A couple of the highlights were my margarita, Adobo Lamb Sausage and the Red Chile Braised Pork which is slow cooked for 2 days and the flavors were out of this world. Ok. Just go and enjoy. Please!
